Ron George stands with his two children, Melissa and Luke, who plan to run George’s Shoe and Repair in Arden Hills when he retires. The repair and retail shop has been the trusted go-to for many in the northern suburbs for 50 years, and was started by the George family in 1905.

A mechanical whirring frequently fills the back room of George’s Shoes & Repair in Arden Hills, as three family members take turns stitching, grinding and polishing.
