Century College celebrated the grand opening of its new LGBTQ Center in the West Campus “Nest” on Jan. 30.
The Center provides a safe space for Century’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ-identified) students, as well as students of many sexual orientations or gender identities. In addition, the Center offers a variety of resources to help students.
Century is the first two-year college in Minnesota to have an LGBTQ Center focused on supporting students and providing a safe and welcoming space.In addition, the LGBTQ Center was recently the recipient of a PFund grant of $5,000 to help support LGBTQ programming in the upcoming year. The PFund Foundation is a community foundation dedicated to advancing social justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities in the Upper Midwest.
