Oakdale-Maplewood Lions present scholarships to local students

The Oakdale-Maplewood Lions presented four $1,000 scholarships at a recognition  held at Oakdale City Hall June 12. The Lions are the largest service organization in the world. Pictured are Jason Telin from Tartan, Lion Ed Mishmash, and Grace Cardinal from North High. Telin plans to get his athletic training degree at the University of MN-Duluth and be a physical therapist. Cardinal will study psychology and music at St. Benedict and become a psychiatrist. Not pictured are North High’s Emma Schwartz and Tartan’s Sara Duke, both with previous engagements at their respective colleges.
