Filing period for municipal elections begins - Bulletin Area

The filing period for municipalities without a primary election opened July 29 and will close at 5 p.m. on Aug. 12.

The general election will take place Nov. 4.

Candidates will be able to file for the following offices in the Bulletin’s coverage area:

Arden Hills
Mayor, 4-year term;
Two council seats, 4-year terms.

Council seats currently held by Mayor David Grant and council members Fran Holmes and Ed Werner are set to expire at the end of the year.

Mounds View
Mayor, 2-year term;
Two council seats, 4-year terms.

Council seats currently held by Mayor Joe Flaherty and council members Al Hull and Carol Mueller are set to expire at the end of the year.

Shoreview
Mayor, 2-year term;
Two council seats, 4-year terms.

Council seats currently held by Mayor Sandy Martin and council members Terry Quigley and Ben Withhart are set to expire at the end of the year.

Vadnais Heights
Mayor, 2-year term;
Two council seats, 4-year terms.

Council seats currently held by Mayor Marc Johannsen and council members Joe Murphy and Terry Nyblom are set to expire at the end of the year.

New Brighton and St. Anthony will have elections next year for offices expiring at the end of 2015.
