Falcon Heights

 

Broken stones

Someone damaged five flooring stones at Falcon Heights Town Square in the 1500 block of Larpenteur Avenue. Management called police Aug. 12 to report the vandalism, which cost $500 to repair.

 

DWI

Police stopped a 31-year-old man from Burnsville Aug. 13 at Snelling and Roselawn avenues and arrested him for driving while intoxicated. He refused the breath test and was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for the refusal, misdemeanor DWI and for expired tabs.

 

Stealing gas in a stolen vehicle

Someone pumped $82.80 worth of gas at the BP in the 1600 block of Snelling Avenue Aug. 11. The behavior was seemingly par for the course for the brazen thief; when gas station employees turned over the vehicle’s license plate number to police, it came up as having been stolen in Ramsey County.

 

Watch for walkers

Police arrested and cited a 45-year-old woman Aug. 9 for failing to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk at Cleveland and Larpenteur avenues. 

 

Lauderdale

 

A 46-year-old man was stopped in the 1600 block of Eustis Street Aug. 10 and arrested and cited for driving with a revoked license, no proof of insurance and for a cracked windshield. He likely would have avoided the trip to the Ramsey County Jail, though, if not for the two outstanding Ramsey County warrants for misdemeanor car insurance violations.

 

Police arrested a man during a traffic stop at Como Avenue and Highway 280 Aug. 12 for an outstanding Ramsey County domestic assault warrant. The 32-year-old was booked at the Ramsey County Jail and also cited for driving with a suspended license, expired tabs and no proof of insurance.

 

Little Canada

 

Assault

A 37-year-old man reported an assault that involved a gun in the 300 block of Labore Road Aug. 20. The victim said he was threatened by gun-wielding man, who accused him of having his car towed.

 

Car break-ins

Over the Aug. 20-21 weekend, multiple cars were broken into at the Maaco Collision Repair parking lot in the 3200 block of Country Drive. Stereo systems were stolen and vandalized. The shop’s tow truck and tow trailer were stolen. The truck was later recovered in St. Paul.

 

DWI

An officer stopped a car in the 100 block of County Road B2 for having expired tabs Aug. 20. The 58-year-old male driver of St. Paul had a revoked license and was driving while intoxicated. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail and is being charged with fourth-degree DWI.

 

Shots fired

Somebody reported hearing gunshots in the area of Arcade Street and County Road D around 8 p.m. Aug. 22. Deputies responded to the area, but didn’t find anything suspicious.

 

Trespassing

At midnight Aug. 23, deputies were dispatched to an apartment building in the 2400 block of Canabury Drive on the report of disorderly conduct. According to the report, an intoxicated 52-year-old man from Amery, Wisconsin, was attempting to get into the building through locked doors. He told police that he didn’t live in the building, but wished to sleep in the lobby for the night.  

 

Tire condition: slashed 

A 50-year-old woman on arrested on Round Lake Trail for slashing a tire on her 46-year-old brother’s car and keying the vehicle Aug. 20. The woman didn’t say why she did the deed. She may be charged with felony criminal damage to property.
