FAITH: Opportunities offered at Benedictine Center

The Benedictine Center in Maplewood is offering these upcoming opportunities in March:

• Finding the words: describing spiritual ideas, insights, hunches & wonderings Mondays, 7 to 9 p.m. March 19, April 9 and 23. The cost is $75 for three writing workshops that will give participants a safe place for expressing their innermost feelings and experiences about their spiritual journey using any genre they choose.  Led by Vic Klimoski, poet, teacher, editor and former director of lifelong learning at Saint John’s School of Theology.

• Guided journey through the Triduum — Thursday, March 29 through Saturday, March 31. The $160 cost includes lodging and meals. Participants will experience the three most sacred days of the church year at a Benedictine Monastery and deepen their appreciation of the narratives, symbols and lived experience of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday.  The retreat includes worship, group spiritual direction, rest, free time and the option of one-on-one spiritual direction.
