Inquiring Minds: Limits on items checked out of library

Q. How many things can I check out at one time from the library?

A. Our circulation limits change from time to time, but it’s very rare that someone staggers up to the checkout point with more items than we allow you to take home. Currently you can have 150 items checked out at any time, and there is limit of 50 items on request at any time. Within those limits, we allow a total of 20 DVDs to be checked out on any customer record. That includes up to 10 rental DVDs, four video games, as well as a five video game request limit.

We also allow up to 10 Interlibrary Loan requests at any time. This total is included in the 50 request-limit total.
