Do you know an outstanding young person between the ages of 12 and 19 who lives or volunteers in Falcon Heights?

Nominations for the annual Neal Kwong Youth Citizenship Award are now being accepted — it’s perfectly fine for parents to nominate their children who volunteer in the community.

Last year’s award winner, Nicholas Behrens, highlighted the importance of volunteering in the community. He said “There are many blessings that evolve from service. I love working and connecting with others through this meaningful commitment and have found that it’s the perfect way to learn new and different perspectives.”

Nomination forms are available on the Falcon Heights website at or at City Hall, 2077 Larpenteur Ave. W.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 14.
