Roseville Men’s Shed information meeting

Men’s Shed, an international community service program that began in Australia, is being organized in Roseville. The Roseville Area Men’s Shed information meeting is Tuesday, May 15, at 7 p.m., at the Fairview Community Center in the Roseville Area Senior Program lounge. The event is free for both men and women, and there is no registration.

Phil Johnson, who is with the Hopkin’s Men’s Shed, will discuss the features and merits of a Men’s Shed. Men’s Shed offers a place with tools and a pot of coffee, where guys (and gals) can get together, work on projects, talk together, and in the process make friends. Because men don’t talk face to face, they talk shoulder to shoulder. Men’s Shed members and Sheds are impacting communities around the world. They can provide valuable service to communities where they are located.
