Fix-It Clinics connect residents with handy helpers

Residents can get help repairing household items, clothes, electronics and more at upcoming Fix-It Clinics held at two Dakota County Library locations.

The upcoming Fix-It Clinics will be held:

• Saturday, May 19, noon to 3 p.m., Pleasant Hill Library, 1490 S. Frontage Road, Hastings

• Saturday, June 16, noon to 3 p.m., Wentworth Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E., West St. Paul

Bring up to five items that need fixing or mending. Common items brought to clinics are radios, vacuums and clothes. Repair-savvy volunteers will guide residents through each step, from troubleshooting to a completed repair.

Fix-It Clinics help reduce unnecessary trash sent to landfills and empower individuals by teaching troubleshooting and repair skills.
