Excitement brimmed May 9 as Little Canada Elementary School students, parents and faculty took part in the annual Bike and Walk to School day. Parents and buses dropped students at Pioneer Park and then the kids hoofed it almost a mile along Desoto Street to school. The event is part of the Roseville Area School district’s work with the Statewide Health Improvement Plan grant and the Safe Routes to Schools initiative, with the goal of increasing student health, raising academic achievement, building community and fostering environmental awareness.
