Washington County, through a contractor, will be repairing lane markings at the roundabout on 34th Street North in Lake Elmo. This work is currently planned to start on Tuesday, May 29, the day after Memorial Day, weather permitting. The work is expected to be completed within two working days.

East-west traffic will be maintained through the roundabout during the work, but drivers should expect delays as the road will be reduced to one lane, using flaggers. The flagging zone will begin at Iris Avenue on the west and extend through the roundabout to where the median ends east of the roundabout.

Because the flaggers will be directing traffic onto the opposite side of 34th Street North the north and south legs of the roundabout must therefore be closed to all traffic while the work is taking place, affecting Jamaca Avenue North and Stillwater Boulevard North. Also, 33rd Street North will be closed at its intersection with 34th Street North during this time, for this same reason, but will remain connected to County Road 6.
