Rice-Larpenteur Gateway Corridor vision event

For the past 18 months, the City of Roseville, Ramsey County and the cities of Maplewood and St. Paul, have been working on a visioning plan for the Rice Street-Larpenteur Avenue Gateway Corridor. The cities hired a consulting group and established a Gateway Planning Committee of city and county officials and a community advisory group of planning commissioners and residents, business owners and other stakeholders from each of the cities to develop strategies to invest in the area that includes southeast Roseville and parts of St. Paul and Maplewood.

All three cities adopted the plan that will help guide investment in the area.

On Thursday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., head to the corner of Rice Street and Larpenteur Avenue to celebrate the corridor and learn more about the visioning plan. The three cities and Ramsey County will have interactive stations set up at the intersection within each city. Visitors can meet with area businesses and see short- and long-term vision plans for the area. There will also be activities and treats for the kids. For more information and to review the plan go to www.riceandlarpenteur.com.
