Inquiring Minds: Forgot the name of the book?

Q. I am looking for a book I read before but I forgot the name of it, and I don’t remember the author either.  Can you help me find it again?

A. We librarians are pretty good detectives, and chances are high that if you tell us what you remember about the book we’ll be able to track it down. What happened? Was it written by a man or woman? What were the characters/places/names/genre etc.? Every detail you can remember makes it more likely that we can find it.

What we can’t do, however, is consult our records to determine what you have previously checked out. For privacy reasons, we do not keep records of items that you have borrowed and returned.
