Inquiring Minds: Free passes to area museums

Q. Now that summer is here, I want to take my kids to area museums.  Do you have a program that offers free passes?  If so, how does one go about getting a free pass?

A. Ramsey County Library is part of the Metropolitan Library Service Agency, a seven-county public library consortium. MELSA offers the smARTpass program, which gives library users free and discounted tickets to many museums and art programs.

You can access smARTpass using your library card to see what museums are currently offering passes. Check the smARTpass website at www.smartpass.melsa.org.
