The Floating Library

The public art project, The Floating Library, will return to Lake Phalen this summer for three weekends — July 21 & 22, Aug. 4 & 5, and Aug. 28 & 29, all from 1 to 6 p.m., weather permitting. The Floating Library is exactly what it sounds like, a raft full of artist-made books that paddlers can read while out on Lake Phalen. Boats can be rented at the beach and the books can be read for free. The library first made its debut during the summer of 2016. For more information about the project, visit thefloatinglibrary.org.
