“I never thought I would be able to ride a bike again” was one of the many joy-filled comments said by residents at Benedictine Health Center at Innsbruck Aug. 22 while they were given rides on bicycles with wheelchair platforms around their New Brighton neighborhood. Kathy Haubrich started TWOcan Bike, a free service for those who are no longer able to bike, in honor of her mother Marilyn, who loved to feel the wind in her hair. Haubrich stayed a bit longer than anticipated, giving more rides than expected. Said Kathleen, a Benedictine resident, “It was a beautiful day that was heaven sent!”
