submitted photo

The Mounds View High School girls track and field team retained its grip on the Section 5AA championship last Friday at Hamline University in St. Paul. The Mustangs captured the section team title for the sixth consecutive year.
In addition to the team-title hardware, which Mounds View won by 34 points over runner-up St. Michael-Albertville, the Mustangs also left Klas Field with 11 entries in this weekend’s state meet.
Four of those state entries were garnered by winning events at the section meet.
