Chordsmen to host barbershop event March 28

Area residents will have a chance to see the St. Croix Chordsmen compete with the best of the barbershop choruses and quartets in the 10,000 Lakes Division contest Saturday, March 28 at the Stillwater Junior High Don Hovland Auditorium.

Faculty Artist Series: Chamber Music Treasures 4-14

On Tuesday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Nazareth Chapel, faculty members Sachiya Isomura, cello, Phil Norris, trumpet, and Richard Lange, piano, will be joined by guest artist Catherine Schaefer Schubilske, violin (Isomura and Schubilske are Minnesota Orchestra members). Featured works are Ewazen’s Trio for Trumpet, Violoncello and Piano, and Schubert’s Trio for Violin, Violoncello and Piano.

 This recital is free and open to the public.

Sundae Bingo 4-12

All ages are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of playing bingo, ice cream, and sundaes on a Sunday afternoon. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each game. Each participant will be eligible to win two games. *Please note that this is not competitive bingo.

Chicken Keeping 101 - Session 2, 4-11

Instructor Les Larson will be presenting a free chicken keeping class on April 11th at the Oakdale Discovery Center.

Learn everything you need to know about keeping chickens, such as coop construction, chicken comfort, safety, sanitation, and doing it all with minimum expense by using ordinary materials and equipment. Program for those considering raising chickens as well as those who are raising chickens.

A tapestry of compositions by these two lifetime friends, who changed the landscape of choral music in the U.S. and Norway. Nystedt passed away at age 99 in December 2014 and Sateren at age 94 in 2007.
