"A Water Wonderland" is the theme of this year's 16th annual WaterFest—a free celebration of our clean lakes offering fun and an opportunity for outdoor hands-on learning about clean water, wildlife, and land and water conservation. Experience the lake with Voyageur canoe rides; stand up paddleboards and fishing lessons; swimming, canoes, kayaks and paddleboats for check out. Visit the Nature Center booth at this fun festival!
In the early years of the 20th century, traveling vaudeville shows offered a little taste of home for newly-arrived immigrants from Sweden, Norway and other Scandinavian countries. Peter Holbrook's new musical, Ole's Last Bow, recalls those days with a story that gives you a front-row seat to the on- and off-stage antics of a Scandinavian vaudeville troupe teetering on the brink of disaster.
