BIRD BANDING DAY

(All Ages )

 Cardinals, warblers and chickadees, Oh My! Watch licensed bird banders capture, band and release wild birds to learn about age, populations and migration patterns. If conditions allow, take a short hike to observe birds with binoculars from the floating boardwalk. Bring a camera. Free Drop-in program for adults and families. Youth groups, call 651-249-2170 to register by April 29.

Food for Life

Store To Door helps seniors live independently and age with dignity. Come to our annual Food for Life breakfast in April to find out how regular personal contact, access to nutritious food, and connections to community resources are helping local seniors to continue living in their own homes. The breakfast is free but you do need to reserve your spot. Please come. Bring a guest. Help spread the word about the important work our volunteers and donors are doing.

Taking the Reins: Transitioning and Transferring from Pediatric to Adult Health Care

 All youth eventually transition from pediatric to adult health care services. This transition process is especially important for youth living with lupus and other autoimmune diseases. At this round-table event, attendees will hear panelists discuss social-emotional development, self-management advocacy, and transition preparation, and the unique aspects of living with an illness as a young adult.

Free, but pre-registration is required by Friday, April 22.

Community Shredding Event

1st Annual Community Shredding Event!  April 16th, 9:00-12:00

Bring your unneeded statements and documents to securely shred at the Shred-It truck. Sponsored by Waddell and Reed. In the parking lot in front of our building at 2618 17th Avenue East, No. St. Paul. There is no charge for attending and we would love for you to bring a friend!

**Please limit your shredding to 5 bags.

To do well in school, children need to be supported and nurtured in all areas of development. It os also important that your child is physically, socially and emotionally ready for school.

This Open House can help serve as your guide to helping you decide. Students will be able to visit our kindergarten classroom. Kindergarten screenings are also available. Food will be provided.

 There are two time windows:  APRIL 19 from 1- 3 PM & 5-7 PM
