As the current school year winds down with final exams, field trips and graduation ceremonies, District 197 is preparing for a bulge in incoming classes this fall — classes whose students may not graduate until 2029 or 2030.

Henry Sibley teacher recipient of award for Teacher Achievement

Eric Friberg, a biology teacher at Henry Sibley High in School District 197, has been selected as a recipient of the 2015 WEM Outstanding Educator Award for Teacher Achievement, an honor that is accompanied by a $15,000 award.

Last year, students at Moreland Elementary School in West St. Paul chose to explore the effect ingredients in Takis have on the mobility of zebra fish, exploring the health implications of the spicy corn munchies favored by youngsters.
