Police seek help identifying female suspect

The Maplewood Police Department is seeking community help in identifying a woman involved in a bank robbery Saturday, April 2, at the TCF Bank branch inside Cub Foods, 100 W. County Road B. 

Witnesses described the woman as 20- to 25-year-old European American with dark hair that may have had highlights. At the time of the robbery she wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark leggings. 

At around 3 p.m., the woman presented a TCF Bank teller a note demanding money while implying she had a gun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, she fled the store in an unknown direction and was not immediately located.

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Ernest Atchison Jr. of St. Paul and Bradley Cook of North Branch were arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with a Maplewood home invasion that turned deadly on Nov. 7.

Trap-Neuter-Return likely method
In a residential strip of Maplewood bordering St. Paul, two neighbors are at odds when it comes to dealing with stray and feral cats that inhabit their streets.
One has been trapping the cats and bringing them in to be set up for adoption or euthanized, depending on their condition.

Police arrest man who shot Maplewood mother

Tennin found at private residence in Illinois
Todd Larry Tennin, 31, the suspect in the Aug. 23 fatal shooting of April Tennin, his wife, has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force on Sept. 3 without incident. He will be held at the Lake County, Illinois Jail.
