The West St. Paul Police Department is hosting a program called LEO the Lion, which is a school supply drive, collecting a long list of items including notebooks, writing and coloring utensils, erasers, scissors, glue, Ziplock bags, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, facial tissue boxes, headphones and earbuds and more to fill backpacks for students who could use some extra help in attaining these items.
Mendota Heights drug deal-shooting investigation comes to a close
Three young men are facing felony charges in connection with the robbery of two of their acquaintances at gunpoint at a Mendota Heights residence Thursday, May 21.
According to the criminal complaint, two victims, referred to in a police statement as B.J.P. and B.J.S., were called to deliver illegal drugs to the townhouse of 21-year-old Hamel Forbes Hartinger on Ivy Hill Drive. The suspects were reportedly waiting at the house with the intention of robbing B.J.P. and B.J.S. of any drugs and money the two might have had on hand.
