After winning eight consecutive football games, the highly successful North High Polars were handed a last-minute, season-ending loss by the St. Thomas Academy Cadets in the Class 5A quarterfinal state tournament game Friday, Oct. 30.

When asked if he knew when the North High Polars had last advanced to the state football tournament, an energized Eric Longtin replied, “It was in 1998, but I don’t remember the game. I was in Texas at the time.”

Titans drop opening playoff game; Hill-Murray claims gridiron triumph

The Tartan Titans traveled Oct. 13 to School District 622 arch rival North for a Metro East Conference volleyball clash.

In didn't take long for the visiting Hill-Murray High School volleyball players to establish that they didn't regard the supposed "home-court advantage" as an obstacle in their match with the Tartan Titans Tuesday, Oct. 6.
