Mendota Heights school’s Greek myth project goes back to 1890s


Staff at Convent of the Visitation School in Mendota Heights dug up this photo of students in the early 1900s acting out a Greek myth. In the 1890s, mythology was apparently part of gym class at the Catholic private school. (Submitted photo)

When Nicole Sutton inherited a project involving students acting out Greek myths, the freshman English teacher decided to find out how long the tradition has existed.

District 197 voters bolster technology, security funds

West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools will see a jump in funding starting next year, thanks to the around 10,000 voters who said "yes" to security upgrades and renewing and increasing the technology levy.

Early Learning Center opens in Inver Grove Heights
