Win gives North the Metro East Title
This year the new Metro East Conference was formed. Although the schools in the MEC are pretty much the same as the former Classic Suburban Conference, there's definitely a sense that it's a new era.
For the eighth consecutive year, the Mounds View High School girls tennis team is headed to the state tournament. The Mustangs locked down the state berth with a 6-1 victory over Coon Rapids in the Section 5AA final last Thursday.
The Irondale High School football team closes out the regular season on Wednesday with a trip to Park Center for a late-afternoon game (5 p.m. kickoff). For the Knights, it's one last chance to pick up a victory prior to the post-season.

The Roseville Area High School and Concordia Academy football teams head into the final week of the regular season trying to get back to .500 before moving on to the playoffs. Both squads lost last week to fall to 3-4 overall.
