FINDING OF SUITABILITY FOR EARLY TRANSFER (FOSET)

FOR LAND TRANSFER FROM

THE TWIN CITIES ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT (TCAAP)

TO RAMSEY COUNTY 

The U.S. Government intends to transfer real property comprising approximately ninety-three (93) acres of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) in Arden Hills, Minnesota to Ramsey County, Minnesota. Ramsey County proposes to use the land for parks and recreational use. TCAAP was used primarily for the production and testing of small caliber ammunition by the Department of Defense. A document to support the real property transfer called the Finding of Suitability for Early Transfer (FOSET) is being prepared by the Army. The FOSET may be viewed at the TCAAP environmental document repository. Site specific information or copies of the FOSET are available for review at the TCAAP Office, 4761 Hamline Avenue, Arden Hills, Minnesota 55112, by appointment. INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 623

ROSEVILLE AREA SCHOOLS

OCTOBER 23, 2018 

These are the abridged minutes from the School Board meeting held on October 23, 2018, which were approved at the November 13, 2018, School Board meeting. 

The regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Board Members present: Anderson, Azer, Boguszewski, Gogins, Johnson, Shaw

Board Members absent: None

Administrative staff present: Loeck, Mobley, Schaub, Sicoli, Thompson, Von De Linde 

Reports and Non-Action Items: 

1. An overview of district enrollment data from October 1, 2018, was presented. 

2. Information about the ethnic diversity of the district, the English Learner population, and the proportion of students receiving educational benefits was presented. 

3. Growth results from the 2018 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and FASTBridge tests were reviewed. An overview of new ACCESS assessment accountability targets under the Every Student Succeeds Act was also provided. 

4. An update on the facilities planning process was provided. 

Action Items: 

1. Agenda item 5f – Brimhall, Central Park and Edgerton Elementary Schools Addition and Remodel Bids – was moved from the consent agenda to the action items. 

2. The consent agenda including the minutes of the regular school board meeting on October 9, 2018; payment of bills; resignations, appointments, reductions, adjustments; gifts; and the Saint Paul College concurrent enrollment contract was approved. 

3. Contracts for addition, remodeling and long-term facilities maintenance construction projects at Brimhall, Central Park and Edgerton Elementary Schools were awarded. 

4. The Resolution Approving Letter to Commissioner and Related Actions Regarding Updated Financing Plan for Fairview Community Center was approved. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:09 p.m.
