CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ORDINANCE NO. 760 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, SECTION 914. “I-1” LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, CONDITIONAL USES RELATING TO INDOOR SALES OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT AND SALVAGE VEHICLE REPAIR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ORDAINS: Section 1. Section 914.040.C. of the Little Canada Zoning Code (“I-1” Light Industrial District, Conditional Uses) is hereby amended to add the following underlined language: C. Motor vehicles and recreational equipment sales (indoor) and garages accessory thereto provided that: 1. The applicant has a minimum of five (5) vehicle display, demonstrated on a floor plan of the building, including construction details which identify compliance with the terms of this Section. 2. The structure and site must meet all requirements for applicable State of Minnesota licensing. 3. The subject property shall meet all applicable fire codes. 4. The provisions of Section 921.010.C of this Ordinance are considered and satisfactorily met. 5. The required sales floor area must be accessible via a direct doorway to the outside, without requiring customers to enter the repair or shop area to access the vehicle display location. 6. The sales/display area must be physically separated from other uses in the facility such as repair or shop space by a permanent solid wall no less than four (4) feet in height which prevents the encroachment of both sales are and repair area into each other’s designated space. 7. The sales/display floor area must be no less than 1,000 square feet, or 200 square feet per vehicle on display, whichever is greater. 8, No outdoor storage of vehicles for sale, or which are being stored for repair, may be allowed under this CUP provision. Outdoor sales lot area is only allowed under a separate provision of the zoning ordinance. Section 2. Section 914.040 of the Little Canada Zoning Code (“I-1” Light Industrial District, Conditional Uses) is hereby amended to Section 914.040.F, and to read as follows: 914.040. F. Reserved. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance amending the Little Canada Zoning Code shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and publication. CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 762 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 902, 903, AND 905 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY AMENDING AND CONSOLIDATING REGULATIONS RELATED TO RESIDENTIAL STORAGE AND PARKING, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THE REVISED ORDINANCE IN SUMMARY FORM. The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains that the following summary ordinance shall be published in lieu of the full amendment text, which shall be on file and available for viewing in the office of the City Clerk: Section 1. Section 902.010 is amended to amend the definition of parking. Section 2. Section 902.010 is amended to add a definition of vehicle storage. Section 3. Section 903.020.O is amended to add and consolidate regulations relating to the parking and storage of vehicles, materials, and equipment on residential property. Section 4. Section 903.050 is amended to address parking and storage of motor vehicles on residential property. Section 5. Section 905.030 is amended to clarify the parking of vehicles in the R-1, Single Family Residential zoning district. Section 6. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage on the 22nd of January, 2014, and publication.
