Delicious food and roomy accommodations

Choosing a favorite aspect of life at Scandia Shores is a topic that brings out a bevy of opinions. Musical entertainment, educational sessions, card games, transportation services, bingo, movies, and breakfast and lunches out all received votes. But there is one thing everyone agrees on — the food.

"Our Chef is amazing," Stacey says. "I would want anyone who is thinking about making a move to Scandia Shores to come in for a complimentary meal. If they are on the fence about moving, this might be the thing that seals the deal. Residents praise his cooking."

Meals are available at 11:30 a.m. in the Scandia Room each day of the week and evening meals are offered Monday through Friday. Mornings, except for holidays, a Rise and Shine coffee is available as well.

Apartments are furnished with a full kitchen, a spacious dining and living room, one or two bedrooms and one or two baths. Leases are offered on a month-to-month basis. Current prices range from $1,387 to $2,178.

Scandia Shores offers independent, cost effective secure living. Guest rooms are offered to visitors or prospective clients at a reasonable overnight cost, when available.
