North St. Paul Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

Sunday April 3, 2016, the North St. Paul Lions Club will hold their all you can eat spring pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 39, 2678 7th Avenue E., North St. Paul.  

A portion of the proceeds will go to the North High Polar Packs, which is a backpack program that fills children’s backpacks with food supplies for families over the weekends. 

For the breakfast, adults cost $7.00, children ages six through 10 cost $5.00 and ages five and under are free. For more information visit www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/northstpaul/projects.php.

 

Japanese Junction

This event planned for Monday, April 4, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. is for teens to explore the world of Japanese style, fabrics, and culture by making their own Kokeshi doll. Register on the library’s website, by calling Oakdale library at 651-730-0504, or by stopping by the Oakdale library, 1010 Heron Avenue N. This event is presented by the Textile Center of Minnesota. 

 

Rain garden rescue

Has your rain garden been overrun by weeds? Does it need a few new plants or a complete overhaul? Come get tips on how to rescue your rain garden and make it the garden of your dreams. See slides of plants, designs and methods for renovation.  We’ll answer questions and help you figure out where to start.

This adult program will take place Tuesday, April 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Maplewood Nature Center, 2659 E. 7th Street. The program is free, but please call 651-249-2170 by April 4, to register.

     

Caring for Cats bingo night

If you are an animal lover or you enjoy winning prizes, Caring for Cats’ Bingo Night is definitely the place for you. Caring for Cats is a local no-kill shelter full of adorable cats waiting for their fur-ever home. Funds from our Bingo Night will be used to support the needs of our cats and keep the shelter running smoothly. You will be helping our cats while also winning amazing cash prizes, gift cards and much more!

Join us for Caring for Cats’ Bingo Night Thursday, April 7, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 39, 2678 East 7th Avenue, North St. Paul, for a night of laughs, prizes, drinks and great food!

 

Coloring for Adults

Adult coloring books are all the rage these days! The event takes place Monday, April 11, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your own supplies or use those supplied by the library for an evening of community coloring.
