Cookie Cart fundraiser

On Thursday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Flat Earth Brewery, 688 Minnehaha Ave., join East Side neighbors for a fundraiser for the incoming youth job program, Cookie Cart.

Cookie Cart is an urban non-profit bakery that gives teens their first job experience, teaching them life and leadership skills, while making cookies.  Cookie Cart is already working with Johnson High School students and will bring its unique bakery model to the Payne-Phalen neighborhood in early 2018. They need the community’s help to get across the fundraising finish line.

East Side elected officials are helping to pave the way for Cookie Cart’s expansion by hosting this fundraising event. The list of elected officials that are hosting this event are:  Ramsey County Commissioner Jim McDonough, Sen. Foung Hawj, St. Paul City Council members Dan Bostrom, Amy Brendmoen, and Jane Prince, and Rep. Sheldon Johnson and Tim Mahoney.
