September 2017 events at Hayden Heights Library


• Mondays in September, 6:30 p.m. (closed Labor Day) - Jammie Storytime: Spend time sharing stories, songs, and rhymes in English while building a foundation for reading success. Everyone is welcome. Jammies, blankies, and stuffed friends optional. No registration is needed.

• Tuesdays in September, 10:30 a.m. - Hmong Storytime: Spend time sharing stories, songs, and rhymes in Hmong and English while building a foundation for reading success. Everyone is welcome. No registration is needed.

 • Wednesday, Sept. 13, 5 to 6 p.m. - Teen Book Club: Teens ages 12-18 will read a popular fiction title and discuss at this casual book club. Haven’t read the book? Not a problem - join us to learn about the group and have snacks. No registration required.

 • Thursday, Sept. 21, 1 to 2:30 p.m. - Hayden Heights Book Club: Join this growing community book club as they read popular and unique titles each month. Contact the library to find out more.

• Thursday Sept. 7, 4:30 p.m. - Catch A Chapter Book Club: Come listen to the first chapter of new and favorite juvenile fiction books. Copies of the books will be on hand to check out in case you decide you need to finish the book. Families welcome. No registration required.

• Fridays in September 10:30 a.m. - Family Storytime: Spend time sharing stories, songs, and rhymes in English with your child while building a foundation for reading success. No registration is required.

• Saturday Sept. 9 & 23, 1 to 2:30 p.m. - Art Space Saturday: All ages welcome to make art in this fun, creative and collaborative art space. Materials such as clay, paint, string, and wood will be available to make projects. Participants get to take home their creations. No registration required.
