Lake Elmo farmers market

The Lake Elmo farmers market will begin its fourth season on Saturday, June 23. The market will be Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 23 through September 8 in the Lake Elmo Elementary School parking lot at 11030 Stillwater Blvd. N. The market features a number of local vendors offering honey, produce, baked goods, canned goods, flowers, candles, crafts, books and more. Pancake breakfast 

A pancake breakfast will be held for the community at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1910 S. Greeley St., Stillwater, on Sunday, June 24, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This breakfast is in partnership with Lake Elmo Elementary School to help fund its Playground For All project.  For breakfast, adults cost $8.50, children age 5 through 12 cost $5 and children under age 5 eat free.  There is ample parking and the building is wheel chair accessible. Area residents are encouraged to bring family, friends and an item for the St. Michael’s Food Shelf.


There’s an app for that

So many apps, so little time. In this workshop held Thursday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oakdale Library, 1010 Heron Ave. N., participants will discover which apps should be loaded on their smart phones or tablets to improve productivity, plus how to use and organize them. Participants should bring their smart phones or tablets to this fast-paced session. Android users are welcome and will learn concepts applicable to their devices, but this class focuses on Apple devices. This class is presented by the Twin Cities Media Alliance and funded by MELSA. Wendy Wiggle

Wendy Wiggle will be performing Wednesday, June 13, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Lake Elmo Library, 3537 Lake Elmo Ave. N. Participants will be jumping, dancing and singing along to music about kids’ favorite things such as, frogs, books, bugs, and cookies.
